I have been studying and using Narrative Therapy in my work for more than twenty-five years. I worked for many years as a mental health clinician in the South Australian public mental health service. From there I moved into counselling in women’s health and the non-government sector, working as a counsellor, senior practitioner, and supervisor for a therapeutic counselling team at Uniting Communities in Adelaide for over fourteen years.
I hold a graduate diploma in family therapy from Dulwich Centre, taught by Michael White. I hold a Doctor of Counselling from UniSA, a Master of Social Work from UniSA, a Graduate Diploma of Arts in Women’s Studies from the University of Adelaide and a Graduate Diploma of Adult and Further Education from UniSA. My ongoing professional development in narrative practice has been supported by the Dulwich Centre and Narrative Practices Adelaide.
